Don't fuck with Techno-Viking

This weird little video is really quite compelling. I don’t think it’s the fact that it features one of the most finely sculpted male torsos I’ve ever seen (I’m straight, but this guy is just objectively “well built”, no two ways about it). That said, if Techno-Viking wasn’t so physically impressive, this video wouldn’t work. Let’s just say it would be a very different viewing experience if it featured me for instance.

The film captures an apparently random 4-minute clip from a Berlin street party. As it opens, the camera is focussed on a girl with excellent green hair (and possibly some MDMA in her system, though who can say) dancing to the background thud-thud-thud of techno. It stays on her for a bit until an inconsiderate asshole pushes her forcefully on his way across the street.

Enter: Techno-Viking.

Having clearly witnessed this bit of spitefulness, the hero steps into the scene. The camera loves him and he’s the focus for most of the rest of the film. The asshole who shoved the dancing girl is a big bloke in his own right. Certainly someone you’d think twice about squaring off with. Not Techno-Viking. He’s completely non-violent, but incredibly forceful and the asshole actually looks like he may have learnt a valuable lesson.

At roughly this point, the party (clearly one of Berlin’s famous techno-parades) gets on the move again and the camera (on the back of a mobile sound-system) pulls away from the scene. Techno-Viking follows in some style. The first couple of minutes are definitely worth watching. Check it out…
