Many thanks, Eddie. I'm enjoying 'After Hours, After NAMA' over at your place. Looking forward to part two.

Hey Matt, been a while. Hope all's groovy with thee. Thing about the 'excess inventory' is that the people of Ireland already own half of it (or will do before long) thanks to property developers defaulting on loans. Unfortunately it's almost worthless... the government has already converted a couple of zombie hotels and ghost developments into social housing. There's no shortage of that any more in Ireland. There just aren't enough people to fill the houses we've built, and precious few jobs to attract anyone from overseas. The waste, and the debt it's created, is enough to make anyone despair.

Wow truely mind boggling! Given who will be picking up the bill perhaps all this excess inventory should be bequeathed to the people of Ireland... social housing anyone?
